Sunday April 01, 2007
Mississauga – Beijing

Fly to Beijing, the political, economic and cultural centre of the People's Republic of China. Loose one day when crossing the International Dateline.

Monday April 02, 2007
Beijing (D)

Upon arrival in the afternoon, you will be escorted to the China World Hotel for your 3-night stay. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Cocktail Reception, including discussions on the cultural differences of doing business in China, followed by dinner.

Tuesday April 03, 2007
Beijing (B/L/D)

This morning the business delegates will take part in a seminar arranged with local government officials and business organizations. An introduction of investment opportunities in Beijing and Mississauga investment and business opportunities will be presented. The companions will travel on the winding 700 year-old streets by pedicabs to visit the Hutong (historic homes), followed by a stop at the Silk Market to do some shopping. A networking lunch will be arranged at the hotel.

In the afternoon, the team will visit the historic Tian An Men Square where Mao Tse Tung first raised the flag of the People's Republic of China. They will then tour the Imperial Palace, better known as the Forbidden City, and its gardens,. Business matching meetings will be arranged by request.

This evening, team members will enjoy a delectable Peking Duck Dinner at a local restaurant.

Beijing (B/L/D)

Today the team will enjoy a full day excursion starting with a morning visit to the Summer Palace. In the afternoon, they will visit the 6,000-kilometre long Great Wall of China, built over 2,000 year ago by Emperor Qin, and a glimpse of the 2008 Olympic Site. Business matching meetings will be arranged by request. Dinner will be held at the China Club with the Canadian Ambassador and local Chinese government officials and businesses.

Beijing – Xi'an (B/D)

Enjoy the morning at your leisure. In the early afternoon, the group will fly to the ancient city of Xi'an. Upon arrival, local government officials will welcome Team Mississauga. Tonight, attend the Grand Reception hosted by INWEST (China Western Region Foreign Investment Promotion Fair) and the Government of Shaanxi Province. This is followed by a tour to the Tang Paradise. The Team will stay at the Sofitel Grand Mercure Hotel for 3 nights.

Xi'an (B/D)

This morning, the Team will attend the opening ceremony of the China Western Region International Economic Cooperation Fair at Xi'an's Qujiang International Business Exhibition Centre, followed by the business agenda of the day including a working lunch. Business matching meetings will be arranged by request.

The Government will host tonight's dinner; invited guests will include local business organizations and new acquaintances from the Business Exhibition.

Xi'an – Nanjing (B/L)

In the morning, the Team will visit Xi'an's most famous ancient monument the Terra Cotta Warriors followed by lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit the famous Shaanxi Provincial Museum, followed by a city tour with a stop at the city wall and Wild Goose Pagoda. Business matching meetings will be arranged by request.

Xi'an – Nanjing (B/L)

This morning the Team will fly to Nanjing. Officials from Nanjing Municipal Government and Jiangsu Provincial Government will be invited to the lunch hosted by Team Mississauga. After lunch, attend a seminar arranged with local business organizations in the IT Business Development Zone. An introduction of Mississauga investment and business opportunities will be presented. Business matching meetings will be arranged by request. Companions will be taken on a short city tour including the Confucius Temple and City Wall. The Nanjing Municipal Government will host tonight's Banquet Dinner. Upon arrival, the team will check into the Sofitel Galaxy for 1 night.

Monday April 09, 2007
Nanjing - Shanghai (B/L)

In the morning, the Team will travel by coach to Shanghai (approximately 4 hours). A working lunch will be hosted by HATCH: a Mississauga based Engineering Company. Business matching meetings can be arranged by requests. After lunch, team members will enjoy a tour and shop in the city, or have the option to attend a meeting with The Ontario Investment Advisor and Consul General in Shanghai. Local government officials will host tonight's dinner. The Ontario Investment Advisor will be invited to join the dinner. Following the dinner, there will be a private cruise on the Huangpu River. The Team will stay at Le Royal Meridien Hotel.

Tuesday April 10, 2007
Shanghai – Guangzhou or Hong Kong (B/L)

This morning, some team members will board a flight to Guangzhou. Upon arrival, the group will be escorted to the hotel in Panyu for 1-night stay. After lunch, team members will be meeting with representatives from the Economic Development Department and Education Department. Tonight's dinner will be hosted by the Municipal Government.

Other team members will board a flight to Hong Kong. After checking in at the Sheraton Hotel for 2-night stay, a city tour has been arranged including a ride to the top of Victoria Peak by tram and shopping at Stanley Market. Business matching meetings can be arranged by requests.


Wednesday April 11, 2007
Guangzhou – Hong Kong or Hong Kong (B/L)

Today team members from Panyu will travel by boat to Hong Kong and will be transferred to the Sheraton Hotel for 1-night stay. Other team members will have a full day business meeting with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

This evening, all team members will celebrate with a final dinner at the Tai Pak Floating Restaurant in Aberdeen Harbour. The Canadian Consul General Gerry Campbell, prominent Government officials and members of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong will be invited to join this evening's dinner.

Thursday April 12, 2007
Hong Kong – Toronto (B)

Enjoy a private, leisurely Farewell Breakfast Meeting this morning at the Sheraton Hotel. In the early afternoon, the Team will head to the airport for their return flight home. Bon Voyage!
